SAN MIGUEL AMEYALCO, Mexico, Nov. 4, 2022–Sol Montejano Quiñones and Lenin MOR made their international dressage debut Friday to win the CDI3* Prix St. Georges as Mexico readies for ambitious year of continental championships.

The 23-year-old Sol was awarded a score of 64.235% on Lenin in the first CDI in Mexico since 2019.

Lenin was previously competed by Juan Antonio Jiminez Cobo of Spain before being taken over by Mexico’s Jose Manuel Bermudez in 2018.

Enrique Palacios, who competed for Mexico at the 2015 and 2019 Pan American Games, and Michel I.T., debuted the nine-year-old Dutch stallion Michel I.T. for runner-up on 63.853%.

Ricardo Manzano Hernandez and Quinquenio, 16-year-old Swedish Warmblood stallion, were third on 63.471%.

Mexico has scheduled three CDIs March through May to select the team for the Central American and Caribbean Games in Santo Domingo June 24-26. The Pan American Games held once every four years of mixed Big and Small Tour combinations and a qualifier for the Paris Olympics is scheduled in Santiago Oct. 26-28.
