MADRID, Oct. 23, 2022–Maria Caetano of Portugal and her Portuguese Sport Horse Hit Plus won the King’s Cup Grand Prix Freestyle on a personal best score Sunday, two days after capturing the Grand Prix on a personal best.

Maria and her 10-year-old gelding scored 76.475% for the musical performance and 71.195% in the Grand Prix, the first Big Tour victories and both on personal bests in eight starts since beginning Grand Prix five months ago.

Spain’s Juan Antonio Jimenez Cobo and Euclides Mor, 13-year-old Lusitano gelding, was second in the Freestyle on 74.805%.

Juan Matute Guimon, also of Spain, on the 16-year-old Hanoverian gelding Quantico was third on 73.850%.
