American Young Rider Christian Simonson has taken over the ride on Harmony’s Duval that was competed by Adrienne Lyle for the past five years.

Christian, 20 years old, who is coached by Adrienne, hopes to compete the 14-year-old American-bred gelding in the Under-25 division in 2023. The horse is owned by Duval Partners LLC.

“We are thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership for the upcoming season!” Christian was quoted in a news release from Monaco Sport Horses.

“Simonson will be taking the reins of the talented Harmony’s Duval, who has been competed to the international Grand Prix level by Adrienne Lyle. Christian and Duval hope to compete in the U25 division this upcoming season. A huge thank you to everyone who has made this partnership possible.”

Christian of Moorpark, California works with Adrienne in Wellington, Florida and the Denver area community of Greenwood Village, Colorado in summer as well as in Europe.

Duval was competed by Adrienne on two U.S. Nations Cup teams as well as in Europe 2019, including at the World Equestrian Festival in Aachen, Germany.

Christian has extensive experience competing several horses as a junior and a young rider in the past six years. Among his accomplishments are on U.S. young rider teams at Hagen, Germany on Zeaball Diawind in 2021 and Son of a Lady this year.
