TROISDORF, Germany, Oct. 8, 2022–Geert Jan Raateland of the Netherlands posted his first Big Tour victory in the rider’s debut on VMF Chardonnay in the CDI4* Grand Prix Special Saturday.
Geert and the 15-year-old KWPN mare scored 71.149% for the win.
Spain’s Manuel Dominguez Bernal and the 13-year-old Hanoverian gelding Quentano 2 placed second on 70.957% on what was the debut Big Tour competition for the partnership. The pair won the Grand Prix Thursday.
Andrea Timpe of Germany and Don Darwin, 19-year-old Oldenburg gelding, were third on 69.426%.
