HAGEN, Germany, June 16, 2022–Lucie-Anouk Baumgürtel and ZINQ Hugo FH led Germany to the Future Champions CDIOY Young Riders team title Thursday with Denmark taking silver and Spain bronze. Germany captured the CDIOJ Junior title, Denmark silver and France bronze.
The score for Lucie-Anouk and the 10-year-old KWPN gelding was a personal best 75.980% with scores from two rider and horse combinations counting for the team result. Team mate Helena Schmitz Morkramer on DSP Lifestyle, a 12-year-old German Sport Horse gelding, placed second individually on 74.657%, also a personal best.
Denmark’s top scoring pairs of Sophia Ludvigsen on Blue Hors Elliott, an eight-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding, third individually on 73.970%, and Frederikke Gram Jacobsen on Ryvangs Zafina, a 12-year-old Danish Warmblood mare, fourth individually on 73.137% were also personal bests.
Sergio Moron Basoco of Spain on Farnham L, a 12-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding, was fifth individually on 71.618%, also a personal best. Fellow Spanish rider Natalia Bacariza Danguillecourt on Romántico Ymas, a 1`2-year-old Hanoverian stallion, scored 69.167% for seventh individually.
Young Rider team placings: 1. Germany 150.637%; 2. Denmark 147.107%; 3. Spain 140.785; 4. Switzerland 137.647%; 5. Netherlands 137.107%; 6. Norway 135.392%; 7. France 135.197; 8. United States 135.000%; 9. Belgium 129.519%; 10. Finland 116.764%.
Top placed Junior rider was Allegra Schmiz-Morkramer on Libertad, a 10-year-old Hanoverian stallion, on a personal best 75.707%. Team mate Rose Oatley on Rock Revolution, a nine-year-old Westfalen gelding, scored 72.020% to place sixth individually.
Great Britain’s Annabella Pidgley on Sultan des Paluds FRH, 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding, competing as an individual was second on 73.990%.
Mathilde Juglaret of France on the 10-year-old stallion Caporal de Massa was third individually on 73.435%, a personal best.
