ORNAGO, Italy, June 4, 2022–Australia’s Simone Pearce and Fiderdance won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special Saturday for the third victory in four starts since taking over the ride last month.
Simone and the 13-year-old Oldenburg stallion scored 71.809% for the win after taking the Grand Prix a day earlier to earn the second of two scores above 69% to qualify the Germany-based partnership for consideration for the Australia’s team at the world championships in two months.
The 30-year-old rider moved to Gestüt Bonhomme, the stud that owns Fiderdance, from Gestüt Sprehe a month ago. She rode Sprehe’s Destano on the Australian team at the Tokyo Olympics.
France’s Alexandre Ayache and Jolene, a 10-year-old Danish Warmblood mare, scored 69.404% for second, the same placing as in the Grand Prix.
Switzerland’s Antonella Joannou and Dandy de la Roche CMF CH, a 17-year-old Swiss Warmblood gelding, received 68.617% for third.
