OTTAWA, Ontario, May 22, 2022–Tina Irwin rode Fancy That to a personal best score to win the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday.
The score of 73.220% for Tina and the 16-year-old Oldenburg mare surpassed the previous high of 72.785% set three years ago shortly after the pair began Big Tour.
Fellow Canadian Mathilde Blais Tetreault on Fedor placed second on 72.420%, also a personal best. Mathilde and the 12-year-old KWPN gelding won the Grand Prix earlier in the competition.
The USA’s Lisa Apa on Rigolo also earned a personal best of 68.370% to place third.
