ORNAGO, Italy, Mar. 20, 2022–Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Ferdinand BB won the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday to complete a double victory in the horse’s first outing this year.

Jessica and the 13-year-old Hanoverian gelding scored 80.735% for the win after capturing the Grand Prix earlier.

Jessica, world No. 1 rider on her Olympic and European Championship gold medal mount TSF Dalera BB, will be in Wellington, Florida this week for a masterclass at the Global Dressage Festival.

Matthias Alexander Rath also of Germany and Foundation posted a personal best 77.180% to place second. The previous best for Matthias and the 14-year-old Hanoverian stallion was 76.870% set last July.

Switzerland’s Estelle Wettstein and Quaterboy were third on 73.445%.
