Qualifying was completed Sunday for the World Cup Final in Leipzig, Germany April 6-10 after a two-year break when the annual championship was canceled because of Covid-19.
A total of 18 combinations start in the World Cup that begins with the Short Grand Prix but centers on the Grand Prix Freestyle. Under present rules, no more than three riders are permitted from the same nation.
In addition. Western Europe is allocated nine starting places, Central Europe two, North America two, Pacific one, non-league one, extra starting place one based on world rankings and home athlete one plus defending champion–Isabell Werth of Germany, who won the title on Weihegold OLD in 2017, 2018 and 2019 before the break.
