WELLINGTON, Florida, Jan. 14, 2022–Jennifer Williams and her 19-year-old Millione posted a personal best score for the second day in a row to win the Global Dressage Festival CDI4* Grand Prix Freestyle Friday following victory in the Grand Prix. Great Britain’s Susan Pape debuted Harmony’s Eclectisch in a musical performance for runner-up just 0.17% back.

Jennifer of Olympia, Washington and the Danish Warmblood gelding scored 77.175% for the win, eclipsing the pair’s previous best of 75.370% set in the Nations Cup at this same show grounds last March. Jennifer and Millione were awarded 72.956% in the Grand Prix Thursday that was the highest in the U.S. rankings of combinations seeking to be on the American team at the world championships in Herning, Denmark this summer.

Susan Pape and Eclectisch, a 13-year-old KWPN stallion that she owns with Harmony Amateur Sports Foundation of Kiowa, Colorado, received a score of 77.005% with three of the five judges placing the pair first.

Susan, who rides for Britain but lives in Germany and has been associated for many years with John and Leslie Malone’s Harmony’s Sporthorses, competed Eclectisch (Zenon x Olivi) at Small Tour in Wellington in 2018 and Medium Tour in 2019. The horse had been ridden by Sweden’s Ida-Linn Lundhom as a seven-year-old at the world championships.

Susan and Eclectisch moved up to Grand Prix at Global in 2020 and over two years logged six top three finishes.

The first European Big Tour competition was at Mannheim, Germany last April and the duo were selected for the British Nations Cup team at the prestigious World Equestrian Festival in Aachen, Germany in September to earn team bronze.
