ZAKRZÓW, Poland, Oct. 24, 2021–Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Ferdinand BB won the World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday to kick off the German rider’s campaign for a start in the championship Final next April.

Jessica and the 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding scored 78.780% in only the second Big Tour Freestyle for the world No. 1 on her double Olympic gold medal mount TSF Dalera BB.

Jessica who has been partnered with Ferdinand since the horse was young including competing in the World Young Horse Championships at the age of five, began international Grand Prix in January.

Kristy Oatley was runner-up on 77.575% on Du Soleil, the 17-year-old Hanoverian that she rode at the 2016 Olympics, one of four Games in which she has competed for Australia.

Kristy lives in Germany and in recent years has devoted much of her equestrian commitment to her daughter, Rose, who is the European Pony Champion and world No. 1 pony rider on Daddy Moon. Rose competed Herzkoenig NRW here to win the pony CDI team and individual competitions and place second in the freestyle.

Austria’s Timna Zach on Farant was third on 77.530% in the World Cup Freestyle
