KUNKIAI, Lithuania, May 29, 2021–Sweden’s Jacob Noerby Soerensen rode Sheeran to victory in the World Cup Grand Prix Saturday, posting a personal best score to log the first win in the pair’s third Big Tour event. The rider was runner-up on Moegelbjergs Romeo.
Jacob and the 10-year-old Oldenburg gelding scored 72.109%, the first Grand score above 70%.
On Romeo, 11-year-old Danish Warmblood stallion, Jacob was awarded 70.413% but with big differences in the scores of the five judges–a high of 73.152% and a low mark of 65.761&. The pair swept the World Cup at this same show grounds a week ago.
Swedish compatriot Minna Telde on Praestemarkens Quatero was third on 70.304%. Quatero was competed at Small Tour by Heather Blitz of the United States in 2017 and 2018, and is still listed as an owner.
