COMPIÈGNE, France, May 29, 2021–Cathrine Dufour on Vamos Amigos won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special Saturday for the Danish star’s first Big Tour victory on the nine-year-old gelding.
Cathrine and the Westfalen gelding scored a personal best 76.489% for the victory after being runner-up in the Grand Prix Friday in only the third Big Tour event for the pair. Cathrine is competing Bohemian in the Nations Cup here, the successor to Cassidy that she plans to take to the Tokyo Olympics.
Great Britain’s Charlotte Fry and Everdale, a 12-year-old KWPN stallion, were awarded 75.787% for runner-up following the duo’s win in the Grand Prix.
Nanna Skodborg Merrald, a Danish team mate of Cathrine, placed third on Blue Hors Zack with a score of 73.170%.
Australia’s Lyndal Oatley on Elvive that on Friday earned a Grand Prix qualifying result for consideration for Australia’s Olympic team was fourth on 73.149%.
