KUNKIAI, Lithuania, May 23, 2021–Jacob Noerby Soerensen of Sweden on Moegelbjergs Romeo won the World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday, posting a personal best score for the second day in a row.
Jacob on the 11-year-old Danish Warmblood stallion scored 76.800% to move to a tie with compatriot Patrik Kittel at the top of the World Cup Western European League. The score for Jacob and Romeo beat their previous best of 74.625% set two years ago, as was the personal best in the Grand Prix.
Alisa Glinka of Moldova on Aachen placed second on 73.705% to maintain the pair’s dominance of the Central European League having already posted two victories for maximum points.
Sweden’s Minna Telde on Praestemarkens Quatero was third on 73,275% in the horse’s Big Tour debut. Quatero was competed at Small Tour by Heather Blitz of the United States in 2017 and 2018, logging 10 victories in 12 CDI starts at Florida’s Global Dressage Festival and in Tryon, North Carolina.
