‘s-HERTOGENBOSCH, Netherlands, April 2, 2021–The Dutch Masters has dropped dressage from its re-scheduled program of jumping for April 23-25.

The event, already postponed as a World Cup qualifier, will now be held behind closed doors as measures against coronavirus and Equine Herpes Virus.

The organizers announced Friday that the top dressage riders are already preparing for the outdoor season looking toward the Olympics in Tokyo so “this proved to be incompatible with the indoor competitions of The Dutch Masters. Therefore, it was decided to skip the dressage program of this edition for a year.”

The planned CDI4* was one of several dressage competitions including the Horses & Dreams in Hagen, Germany scheduled for the same week as equestrian sports are to resume April 12.
