WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 18, 2021–Equestrian Sport Productions management reported Thursday a negative test for Equine Herpes Virus in a horse at the Global Dressage Festival showgrounds that had been isolated as a precaution.
The “Horse A” underwent a PCR test for EHV by an independent veterinarian after it had a fever Wednesday. The horses no longer has a fever, ESP said, but remains in isolation while plans are made for it. A barnmate never had a fever and is competing at Global as scheduled.
ESP has frequently urged horse owners to adhere strictly to biosecurity protocols that are still in place at Palm Beach International Equestrian Center and designed to maintain the health of all horses on the property.
