WELLINGTON, Florida, Jan. 16, 2021–U.S. Developing Grand Prix Championship partnership of Alice Tarjan and Donatella M Friday won the Lövsta Future Challenge warmup competition for the Global Dressage Festival circuit final delayed from last year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Alice of Frenchtown, New Jersey and the 10-year-old Oldenburg mare were awarded 72.676% by the panel of five judges for the Intermediate II ahead of the final scheduled for Sunday at the Palm International Equestrian Center.
Alice, an adult amateur, and Donatella captured the American national title last fall.
Spain’s Pablo Gomez Molina, based in Wellington, was runner-up on Ulises de Ymas, 11-year-old P.R.E. gelding on 70.058%.
U.S. Olympic rider Jan Ebeling of Moorpark, California and Status Royal OLD, an 11-year-old Oldenburg gelding, were third on 69.940%.
