WELLINGTON, Florida, Jan. 15, 2021–Sahar Hirosh of Israel on Whitman on Friday earned a qualifying score for the 2021 European Championships that may enable him to compete in international dressage in Europe for the first time.

Sahar, 45 years old, and based in Wellington rode the 18-year-old KWPN gelding to a score of 65.152% in the Global Dressage Festival World Cup Grand Prix.

The pair logged two scores above 65%, one in the Nations Cup, last year but he was uncertain whether either would count toward the two marks required for the Europeans tentatively set for Hagen, Germany in September.

Sahar has been competing Whitman, owned by Jane Suwalsky, for 3 1/2 years.

He competed as a young rider in jumping in Europe.
