WELLINGTON, Florida, Dec. 13, 2020–Adrienne Lyle and Harmony’s Duval won the Global Dressage Fall Festival CDI3* Grand Prix Special Sunday, marking the end of international dressage competitions for 2020 a year in which the event schedule around the world was decimated by the coronavirus pandemic.

Adrienne of Wellington and the American-bred 12-year-old KWPN gelding scored 72.383% for the victory following a win in the Grand Prix Friday and the third victory in nine starts in 2020. All of their competitions this year were in Wellington as the pandemic made trans-Atlantic travel difficult.

Duval is the backup U.S. team mount for Adrienne who is the top ranked American on Salvino and seeking to go to the Olympics in Tokyo in July, a year from the original schedule that was changed because of coronavirus.

Katherine Bateson Chandler also of Wellington on Alcazar was runner-up on 71.979%. Katherine and the 15-year-old KWPN gelding are in the eighth year of their partnership, beginning with Small Tour in the summer of 2013 and moving to Grand Prix two years later. They have ridden on American teams in seven Nations Cups in Europe and one in the U.S. in that time.

Canada’s Jill Irving on Arthur was third on 69.787%.
