WELLINGTON, Florida, Nov, 13, 2020–Bianca Tota posted her first ever international victory when she rode Cadento V to a personal best score to win the CDI3* Grand Prix at the Global Dressage Fall Festival Friday.

Bianca of neighboring Loxahatchee and the 14-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding scored 68.761% for the win in the first competition at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center that was the scene of the last international dressage event in the world in mid-March before the worldwide coronavirus lockdown.

This was the ninth Big Tour competition for Bianca and Cadento since beginning Big Tour here more than 2 1/2 years ago.

Kelly Layne, an Australian based in Wellington, and Samhitas placed second on 67.652%, also a personal best in the year competing the 11-year-old Oldenburg gelding at Grand Prix. Kelly, who rode on the Australian team at the 2006 World Equestrian Games, acquired Samhitas with Nori Maezawa. Samhitas was competed by America’s Endel Ots at the World Young Horse Championships in 2015.

Anna Marek of Williston, Florida and Dee Clair were third on 67.609%.

Ashley Holzer, a four-time Olympian for Canada who now rides for the United States, won the national Grand Prix on Valentine with a score of 77.717% from the single judge.
