BRNO, Czech Republic, Aug. 29, 2020–Florian Bacher and Fidertraum posted a personal best score to win the World Cup Grand Prix Saturday and lead an Austrian sweep of the top three places.
Florian and the 11-year-old Oldenburg gelding scored 72.457%. The previous best for the pair that competed at the 2019 European Championships was 70.652% set 13 months ago.
Christian Schumach on Donna Karacho was second on 70.870% with Franziska Fries on Atomic third on 69.174%.
This was the third World Cup qualifier in the Central European where the schedule has been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Grand Prix Freestyle to decide points toward standings is scheduled for Sunday. The results can be carried over to Western Europe in which Austria is located.
