SEGOVIA, Spain, Aug. 7, 2020–Spain’s José Garcia Mena and Sorento won the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday, the second Big Tour competition for the partnership.
José and the 13-year-old Westfalen gelding scored 72.587% for the win. The only previous Grand Prix for the pair was in Portugal a week before the coronavirus lockdown in mid-March.
Portugal’s María Caetano and Fenix de Tineo, a 10-year-old Lusitano stallion, posted a personal best 70.044% to place second.
Juan Jimenez Cobo of Spain and Euclides Mor were third on 69.392%.
