COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, Aug. 4, 2020–The United States Equestrian Federation was paid $1,358,940 by the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee in 2019, one of 58 governing bodies of summer and winter sports and other organizations supported by the USOPC.

The payment was among detailed grants listed by the USOPC in disclosing that 2019 total support and revenue was $205.2 million while expenses were $244 million.

Payment to the USEF was among the top tier of Olympic sports supported by the USOPC.

The second largest payout of $7,531,312, after the USOPC itself, was to SafeSport, the program that was implemented by U.S. Congress in 2017 in the wake of reports of widespread abuse in some Olympic sports.

The USOPC reported that of the total of $111 million paid to national governing bodies and other high performance management organizations, $15 million was paid for training and support of 1,481 individual athletes and $7,286,934 for health insurance for 1,326 elite athletes.
