Messages of support for U.S. Developing Coach Charlotte Bredahl flooded in from around the world after the Olympic rider reported a “mass” in the brain required surgery. The surgery at Palms West Hospital near her home in Wellington, Florida was postponed a day to Saturday.
“My most heartfelt Thank You for all your incredible love and support,” Charlotte wrote on her Facebook page Friday. “It will carry me through the next few days and months to come.”
Charlotte is a 1980 U.S. Olympic team bronze medalist and the current American developing coach.
She reported the health issue on Thursday that led to an outpouring of support and prayers from riders, trainers, fellow Olympians, judges, students and officials from around the world.
“I will fight every step of the way to get back to the amazing life i have with the most amazing people. Our horse community is something so special. I am also so lucky to have an amazing family, but all living in Denmark.”
