Joëlle Beier Kinnen, a dressage and jumping steward and individual competitor at the 2006 World Equestrian Games for Luxembourg, was in the hospital in Trier, Germany Wednesday after an operation for a cerebral hemorrhage.

Joëlle was a steward at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon. She competed Petit Prince as an individual in dressage at the 2006 World Games in Aachen, Germany.

Thomas Beier, of Germany, her husband and a jumper rider, reported that a computed tomography or CAT scan found an aneurysm in the ear which caused bleeding. She was operated on Wednesday to prevent further bleeding.

Joëlle was in an induced coma that was expected to last for about three weeks.
