The European Championships of dressage and other Olympic disciplines of jumping and eventing as well as para dressage will not be held in 2021, the International Equestrian Federation confirmed Friday, because of the delay for a year of the Tokyo Games due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The FEI said that European Championships in the non-Olympic disciplines of driving and vaulting will still be organized in Budapest, Hungary Aug. 23-Sept. 5, 2021.
The new dates for the Tokyo Olympics are 23 July 23 to Aug. 8 and the Paralympic Games Aug. 24 to Sept. 5.
The FEI Board will discuss the 2023 Europeans and other championships next month.
