California rider Nick Wagman produced his best career results so far on Don John in their first Adequan Global Dressage Festival season that has placed the pair third on the U.S. Olympic rankings.
In the Global CDI3*, their first international competition in Wellington, Nick and the 12-year-old KWPN gelding scored 73.064% in the Grand Prix Special after 70.587% in the Grand Prix. The Special result counts for Olympic ranking.
Nick, 46, of San Diego, was on the U.S. European tour last summer competing Don John in the rider’s first two Nations Cups.
The pair are scheduled to compete next week in the top rated Global CDI5*, a mandatory outing for most of the top combinations seeking a place on the U.S. team for the Tokyo Olympics in five months.
