RANDBØL, Denmark, Nov. 10, 2019–Daniel Bachmann Anderson and Blue Hors Zepter wrapped up his home Dressage Festival CDI3* by posting another personal best score to win the Grand Prix Special Sunday.
Daniel and the 11-year-old Oldenburg stallion scored 79.511% for the victory, supassing the previous best of 78.128% set a year ago. The pair won the Grand Perix two days ago, also with a personal best result.
Both results on Zepter here were better than the highest scores for the 15-year-old Blue Hors Zack, Daniel’s Danish team championship mount and the sire of Zepter.
Stable mate Agnete Kirk Thinggard and Blue Hors Zatchmo placed second on 75.723% in the pair’s first Special and only their second Big Tour event. Agnete and the 10-year-old Zatchmo were second in the Grand Prix.
Agnete is scheduled to take Zatchmo and three other horses to the winter circuit of seven CDIs at the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida where her coach, Lars Petersen is based.
Carina Cassøe Krüth and Heiline’s Danciera also logged a personal best, 75.149% for third, completing the same order of finish as the Grand Prix. This was only the second Big Tour competition for Carina and the eight-year-old Danish Warmblood mare that were partnered at World Young Horse Championships in all three age groups, five, six and seven years. The duo began Grand Prix six weeks ago.
