The victory by Isabell Werth and Emilio at the Lyon World Cup event was the third year in a row for the German titleholder and the 13-year-old Westfalen gelding. Isabell and Emilio are ranked No. 9 in the world–the rider is No. 1 on Bella Rose and No. 2 on Weihegold OLD. Isabell needs only to compete twice on the horse she takes to the Final in Las Vegas next April and plans to qualify both Weihegold on which she has taken the annual championship the last three years and Emilio just to be sure. In four years at Big Tour, Isabell has partnered with Emilio once for the German team, sweeping the Nations Cup competition at Aachen, Germany in 2018, but not in a championship so far.
