TALLINN, Estonia, Oct. 4, 2019–Sweden’s Rose Mathisen and Zuidenwind won the World Cup Grand Prix Friday in the Swedish pair’s first competition seeking to qualify for the Final in Las Vegas next April.
Rose and the 15-year-old KWPN stallion that were on Sweden’s team at the 2017 European Championships scored 68.935% for the win in the 14th of 16 qualifiers in the World Cup Central European league.
Estonia’s Dina Ellermann on Donna Anna placed second on 68.826% with Finland’s Anna von Wendt on Denzel third on 68.783%.
The Freestyle to decide points is scheduled for Saturday.
Hanna Karasiova and Olga Safronova, both of Belarus, are at the top in Central Europe that can send two combinations to the Final of the annual championship. Neither rider is competing here.
