WAREGEM, Belgium, Sept. 15, 2019–Christoph Koschel and Ballentines won the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle, the first Big Tour victory for the German partnership.
Christoph and the 11-year-old Hanoverian stallion were awarded 75.090% in only their second Grand Prix Freestyle and the first Big Tour event in Europe. Ballentines competition career has been mostly at the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida where he was competed by Christoph at Small Tour in 2017 and moved to Grand Prix in 2018.
Dutch riders Lucie Louws on Evito was second on 73.780% and Sander Marijnissen on Cool 2 Johnson third on 70.445%.
