HARTPURY, England, July 6, 2019–Charlotte Dujardin and Mount St. John Freestyle performing to new music set a personal high score for the 10-year-old mare to win the Festival of Dressage CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday.

Charlotte and the 10-year-old Hanoverian mare that won team and individual bronze at the Tryon world championships last September were awarded 87.600% for Charlotte’s highest score on any horse since she rode Valegro to gold in the Freestyle on a score of 93.857% at the 2016 Olympics.

The freestyle victory came a day after posting a personal best to win the Grand Prix.

The next international championship is the Europeans at Rotterdam, the same venue where Charlotte and Valegro were on the British gold medal team at the 2011 Europeans.

Hayley Watson Greaves on Rubin’s Nite, a British-bred Hanoverian gelding, scored a personal best 77.960% to place second. Their previous best was 77.705% posted at London Olympia last Christmas.

Gareth Hughes and KK Woodstock, a 13-year-old Baden-Württemberg gelding competing in the first show this year, were third on 75.925%.
