SYDNEY, May 2, 2019–Rozzie Ryan and the homebread Jarrah R won the CDI3* Grand Prix for the fifth victory in seven starts this year.
Rozzie and the 13-year-old gelding by Jive Magic scored 67.522% to top the field of 21 starting combinations in what the organizers report as the largest CDI ever Down Under with 85 horses entered in five divisions from ponies to Big Tour.
The pair won the World Cup Pacific League in January as they did in 2018, but turned down invitations to the Finals in Europe because of the stress of extensive travel and high cost.
Fiona Selby and the 16-year-old mare Tacita, placed second on 67.174%.
New Zealand’s Wendi Williamson on Don Amour HH, a New Zealand-bred Hanoverian gelding, was third, also on 67.174%, the tie broken by the collective marks.
