RANCHO MURIETA, California, April 7, 2019–Jennifer Hoffmann rode the eight-year-old Rondoro Noblesse to Small Tour victories at the CDI3* to launch a campaign for a place on the U.S. team for the Pan American Games in July.

Jennifer and the Austrian Warmblood stallion (Rosengold x Latour) scored 71.765% in the Prix St. Georges and 70.824% in the Intermediate 1, the first international competition for Rondoro since three second placings and one third in four starts as seven-year-old in CDIs in Europe in last summer.

Fellow Californian Sarah Lockman on First Apple leads the standings with an average of 74.603% St. Georges and Int. 1 scores from a single CDI with Ashley Holzer of Wellington, Florida on Valentine with an average of 73.564% from four shows, while fellow Florida-based pairs Endel Ots on Lucky Strike is at 72.728% and Jennifer Baumert on Handsome at 72.713%.

The Pan Ams scheduled for Lima, Peru in late July have both Big and Small Tour horses. Two nations can qualify for a team start at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The U.S. qualified for Tokyo with team silver at the World Equestrian Games last fall, and a decision has not yet been made on the mix of Big and Small Tour combinations for Lima.
