WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 29, 2019–P.J. Rizvi wrapped up her most successful Adequan Global Dressage Festival season on Breaking Dawn with a victory Friday in the CDI3* Grand Prix Special, the third Big Tour victory for the American pair this year.

P.J. of Greenwich, Connecticut and the 18-year-old KWPN gelding scored 70.362 per cent for the win. The pair logged a double victory in the Grand Prix and the Freestyle in mid-February on the circuit of 12 weeks, seven of them CDIs.

Ashley Holzer, who coaches P.J., rode Breaking Dawn for Canada at the 2012 London Olympics.

Denmark’s Signe Kirk Kristiansen on Her Highness O that had won the Grand Prix placed second on 69.894 per cent with Rebecca Waite of Loxahatchee, Florida on Doktor third on 68.489 per cent.

Jill Irving on Degas 12 doubled up her win in this season-ending series by taking the CDI4* Grand Prix Special on a score of 70.511 per cent following victory in the Grand Prix. The Canadian rider, also coached by Ashley Holzer, is recovering from a broken rib incurred on Degas during an honor round at Global two weeks ago.

Joanne Vaughan of Georgia on Elmegardens Marquis was second on 66.532 per cent. Only two combinations started.
