FEILDING, New Zealand, Feb 16, 2019–Vanessa Way and NRM Andreas won the national championship CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday to complete a double victory in the debut Big Tour competition of the all-New Zealand combination.
Vanessa and the 11-year-old Hanoverian gelding were awarded 72.495 per cent for the win by just 0.01 per cent over second placed Wendi Williamson on Don Amour MH.
Vanessa and Andreas won the Grand Prix Special a day earlier and placed second in the Grand Prix. a day earlier in the first CDI Grand Prix for the duo.
Wendi and Don Amour, also New Zealand-bred were second on 72.485 per cent with Jody Hartstone on Ali Baba third on 68.575 per cent.
