FRANKFURT, Germany, Dec. 15, 2018–Dorothee Schneider rode the eight-year-old First Romance to the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal championship of Prix St. Georges Special Saturday, the second small tour title for the German Olympian.
Dorothee and the German Sport Horse gelding were awarded 76.537 per cent for the finale victory of the series of 12 national qualifying shows throughout Germany for seven to nine year old horses.
Four-time champion Isabell Werth on Descolari was runner-up on 75.268 per cent.
Ingrid Klimke, who has enjoyed most success as an event rider, was third Bluetooth OLD on 74.122 per cent.
Dorothee began competing First Romance (Fürst Romancier x Day Dream) in international competitions as a five-year-old in 2015. The duo won five of six CDI starts this year, including the World Equestrian Festival at Aachen, Germany.
