SALZBURG, Austria, Dec. 8, 2018–Germany’s Benjamin Werndl and Daily Mirror posted a personal best score to win the World Cup Grand Prix Saturday.
Benjamin and the 14-year-old Westfalen gelding scored 74.783 per cent for the win. The previous best for the pair was 74.587 set last month, 14 months after starting Big Tour.
German Olympic and World Games team rider Dorothee Schneider on Faustus was second on 74.609 per cent, also a personal best.
Sweden’s Patrik Kittel on Delatio was third on the same score, 74.609 per cent in only the second show for the partnership..
The Grand Prix Freestyle to decide points for standings in the Western European League is scheduled for Sunday. Dorothee Schneider leads the rankings with Benjamin Werndl second.
