BUENOS AIRES, Nov. 23, 2018–The Pan American Games Special Qualifying competition was won by Brazil Friday with Argentina taking silver and Chile bronze with all three nations earning a start at the 2019 continental championships.

Brazil’s team of four combinations with three scores counting earned an average of 68.632 for gold in the two-phase qualifier, Prix St. Georges and Intermediate 1. Argentina’s average was 65.231 for silver, Chile was 64.775 for bronze and Uruguay placed fourth on 60.368.

At the Pan Ams in Lima, Peru next July of mixed big and small tour combinations, two teams can qualify for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo. The United States has already qualified, taking silver at the World Euuestrian Games in Tryon in September.
