FONTAINEBLEAU, France, July 11, 2018–The Netherlands won the European Junior Championships Nations Cup Wednesday, ending a five-year domination of the event by Germany that took silver with Denmark the bronze.

World No. 1 Junior rider Daphne Van Peperstraten on Greenpoint’s Cupido led the Dutch team with a personal best 75.909 per cent team test result to place first individually and give the Netherlands their first junior championship Nations Cup title since 2012.

Thalia Rockx on Golden Dancer de la Fazend placed third on 71.939 per cent and Kimberly Pap on Vioet Victory with 71.909 per cent for fourth cemented the Dutch victory with 16 nations participating in the event.

The top German combination was Romy Allard on Summer Rose on 73.667 per cent for second place individually.

The Wellington, Florida-based Natalia Bacariza Danguillecourt on Dhannie Ymas scored 70.000 per cent to lead Spain to fourth place, the highest placing for the nation, according to a review of available records since 2006.
