UGGERHALNE, Denmark, May 25, 2018–Severo Jurado Lopez of Spain rode Deep Impact to victory in the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Friday, the first double Big Tour victory for the world’s 23rd ranked pair.
Severo and the 15-year-old Hanoverian gelding scored 78.600 per cent for the win, a day after capturing the Grand Prix. Severo, a trainer at Helgstrand Dressage that is staging this Nations Cup event, had posted one win before this show, in the Grand Prix Special at this same competition a year ago.
The top three placings were the same as in the Grand Prix–Kathleen Keller of Germany and San Royal second on 76.050 cent and the Netherlands’ Emmelie Scholtens on Desperado in third on 75.550 per cent.
