AACHEN, Germany, April 18, 2018–The Netherlands’ Adelinde Cornelissen and Zephyr won the Aachen Dressage Days CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Wednesday and Great Britain’s Emile Faurie and Dono Di Maggio made it a double victory in capturing the Grand Prix Special.
Adelinde whose only previous career win in the pair’s sixth year at international small and big tour competition was a consolation Grand Prix a year ago scored 74.925 per cent for first place.
Sascha Schulz of Luxembourg on Dragao was second on 74,205 per cent and Holland’s Denise Nekeman on Boston Sth third on 74.040 per cent.
Emile and the Dono Di Maggio, 11-year-old Oldenburg gelding that won the Grand Prix Tuesday, were awarded 73.957 per cent in an unanimous decision by the five judges for first place in only the second Grand Prix Special in less than a year at Big Tour for the duo.
Adelinde on Aqiedo was second on 71.745 per cent and Switzerland’s Birgit Wientzek Pläge and Robinvale third on 69.702 per cent.
