MOSCOW, Dec. 2, 2017–Volha Ihumentsava and Ed Khardy of Belarus won the World Cup Grand Prix Saturday in the last of this season’s lineup of 11 qualifying competitions for the final in Paris in April.

Volha and the 12-year-old Hanoverian stallion that competed for Belarus at the European Championships in September posted a personal best 68.200 per cent for the victory.

Hanna Karasiova rode Arlekino that she partnered at the World Cup Final in Omaha in April and the Europeans for Belarus was second on 67.380 per cent and Hanna placed third on Zodiak on 67.360 per cent.

Hanna stands second in the World Cup Central European League behind Inessa Merkulova with two places available from that region.

The freestyle to wrap up the CEL is scheduled for Sunday.
