MUNICH, Germany, Nov. 12, 2017–Dorothee Schneider and Showtime FRH completed the return to competition by the German Olympic team gold medal pair with a victory Sunday in the Munich Indoors CDI4* Grand Prix Special.

Dorothee and the 11-year-old Hanoverian gelding scored 81.137 per cent for the win, after capturing the Grand Prix Friday following a year’s absence from the show arena with an injury. The pair last competed in the Grand Prix Special at the Rio Olympics in August, 2016.

America’s Catherine Haddad-Staller and Semper Fidelis placed second on 71.745 per cent in the third Grand Prix Special and sixth start overall since the duo began Big Tour just seven weeks ago.

Catherine, based in Califon, New Jersey, and the 11-year-old Oldenburg mare are atop the United States standings for the World Equestrian Games with less than two months to the start of the intensely competitive Florida winter circuit. Catherine has a training center in Loxahatchee, near the Global Dressage Festival circuit in Wellington.

Germany’s Uwe Schwanz and Hermes, that also started CDI Grand Prix two months ago, was third on 70.941 per cent.
