NÜRNBERG, Germany, Nov. 4, 2017–Hubertus Schmidt rode the seven-year-old Toscana to victory in the Nürnberger Burgpokal Prix St. Georges Special Saturday, the last of 12 qualifiers for the final of the German small tour championship for seven to nine year old horses in Frankfurt next month.
Hubertus and the Oldenburg mare scored 73.415 per cent for the win that will give the German team rider two mounts in the Burgpokal, having won on Escolar in July.
