The International Equestrian Federation announced the FEI awards short list Wednesday with voting open to the public for the first time to choose from a slate that includes Isabell Werth as best athlete, Alan Davies and Steffi Wiegard as best groom and Hanna Erbe as a rising star.

Twenty equestrians and entities were nominated in the five categories of best athlete, rising star, best groom, against all odds and solidarity.
