AACHEN, Germany, July 22, 2017–Spain’s Beatriz Ferrer Salat and Delgado won the World Equestrian Festival CDI4* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday night in only the second competition since last summer’s Olympics.

Beatriz and the 16-year-old Westfalen gelding whose created a career highlight in capturing individual bronze at the European Championships at these same show grounds in 2015 scored 78.275 per cent for the win.

This was the 13th win in 27 starts since the horse returned to competition in 2015 after a string of health issues from the start of their Big Tour career in 2010.

Portugal’s Maria Caetano on Coroado placed second on 75.275 per cent with Germany’s Jan-Dirk Giesselmann on Real Dancer FRH third on 75.125 per cent.
