AACHEN, Germany, July 19, 2017–Helen Langehanenberg rode Damsey FRH to a personal best score to win the CDI4* Grand Prix and ease past German team mate Isabell Werth on Emilio.

Helen, the 2012 German Olympic team rider, and the 15-year-old Hanoverian stallion scored 75.900 per cent for the victory that was theIR fifth win since Helen took over the ride in April last year.

Damsey (Dressage Royal x Ritual), owned by Louise Leatherdale of Long Lake, Minnesota and Susanne Meyer, was placed first by two judges and second by three.

Isabell and Emilio, an 11-year-old Westfalen gelding ranked No. 6 in the world, had mistakes in both sets of changes and were awarded 75.040 per cent for second place. Two of the four judges placed the pair first and two fourth while the fifth put them in second.

This was the 21st start for Isabell and Emili since beginning Big Tour almost two years ago, and have won 14 times, placed second six times and third once.

Juan Matute, Jr., the 19-year-old Florida-based rider for Spain, placed second on Dhannie Ymas on 71.947 per cent.
