WIESBADEN, Germany, June 5, 2017–Sönke Rothenberger rode the 18-year-old Favourit to a personal best score to win the CDI4* Grand Prix Special Monday.
Sönke and the Rhinelander gelding scored 73.843 per cent for their first victory in a Grand Prix Special and beating the previous best result of 73.235 per cent set at the first CDI for the pair in September, 2014.
Sönke was on the German Olympic gold medal team with the nine-year-old Cosmo last year.
Heiner Schiergen also of Germany on Aaron placed second on 72.078 per cent and Great Britain’s Emile Faurie on Weekend Fun in third on 71.608 per cent.
