WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 19, 2017–Big wins by United States team riders Shelly Francis and Katherine Bateson-Chandler and Spain’s teenage star Juan Matute, Jr. vaulted the three up the Adequan Global Dressage Festival prize money standings after the sixth of seven CDIs on the winter circuit.

Shelly of Loxahatchee, Florida won both the CDI3* Grand Prix and Freestyle on Danilo that along with placings on Doktor in the CDI4* earned $19,920 to boost the total for the season to $32,220, fourth on the prize money standings.

The standings are compiled by dressage-news.com and presented by Cunningham & Cunningham Livestock Insurance.

Katherine Bateson-Chandler of Wellington added $18,970 with a victory in the CDI4* Grand Prix Freestyle and fourth place in the Grand Prix to bring her total so far to $23,540 and ranked fifth.

Juan Matute, Jr., 19 years old who rides for Spain and moved with his family to Wellington eight years ago, won the CDI4* Grand Prix for his first senior Big Tour victory. Along with winnings at other levels, he increased earning by $13,440 to total $19,570 for the season with one more CDI to go.

Laura Graves, who with Verdades, is atop the money standings with $55,600 has limited her competition schedule as she prepares for the World Cup Final in Omaha next week. Sweden’s Tinne Vilhelmsson-Silfvén stands second on $38,770 while Steffen Peters of San Diego, California is third with $32,340.

The CDIO3* Nations Cup and a companion CDI3* are on the schedule for this week’s Global event to wrap up the sixth season of the world’s richest dressage circuit.
